Fiksioner brought together young changemakers for a talk show centred on adaptive, visionary youth leadership - and The Kandi Initiative's founder, Laurie Jusuf, was on the panel. She shared what building a youth-led organization across a dozen-plus countries has actually looked like: managing volunteers, chapters, and programs while still in school, and what it really takes for a student-led idea to grow into something operating internationally.
What made the conversation worth having is that youth voices are so often absent from discussions about social change - even when young people are the ones doing the work on the ground. Laurie spoke about Kandi's impact through its menstrual health workshops, product drives, and chapter network, while the room itself became a space for young leaders and founders to trade notes on leadership, resilience, and what it means to drive change before you've even finished school.
